Naked Came The Stranger in Asuncion

Romina Lopez became a V-mag model because a Finnish big boob lover and professional photographer, J.T., erased all fears of being rejected by her and literally stopped her on the street in Asunción, Paraguay to ask if she'd consider modeling nude for Voluptuous. I had been in touch with this gentleman via email monitoring his progress. Our man in South America also later discovered Cynthia Romero and Paola Rios for SCORE, a true triple play. Actually, Romina discovered them, but I'm getting ahead of myself.

"She's from the interior of Paraguay, which is a very conservative area," J.T. told me. "She moved to the capital to study at university. I spotted her at the Mariscal Lopez Shopping Center in Asunción, picked up all the courage I had and talked to her, presenting myself as a photographer. She looked at me in a curious way, and I asked if she'd give me five minutes and come over to a cyber cafe inside the shopping center to take a look at the Scoreland.com website."

First, Romina agreed to pose for the necessary test shots, which might sound like a relatively simple matter. In reality, it's not.

Let's look at this process. Say you're a photographer of girls. You see a girl in the street who you want to photograph, so you approach her with a business card and give her your pitch. You have to because how else will you make contact? Follow her to her door? You don't know who she is, and in a few seconds, she'll be out of sight. She's a complete stranger; you're a complete stranger. You're asking her to take off all of her clothes and maybe even play with sex toys for your camera. The odds in your favor are not good. Nine-hundred ninety-nine times out of a thousand, she will toss your card in the trash the minute you part company.

But happy things do happen in this world, and the Romina Lopez story is one of them. In fact, not long after Romina got into V-mag, she led our photographer to Cynthia and Paola. Both had never modeled, but they trusted Romina.

Through our photographer, I asked Spanish-speaking Romina about her experiences as a new model. Did she think he was for real at first?

"At first I didn't," Romina admitted. "But then I thought, why not have a go and find out. To tell the truth, I liked the idea of posing right from the start. Of course, I was a bit nervous at the beginning, but now I'm used to it. When I look at my photos, I can hardly believe it's me. That person looks like somebody else. One always turns out prettier in photos."

And that's how Romina Lopez became one of V-mag's most-popular girls.
